- Stars in Bossa Nova Concert, an open-air performance at Chapultepec Park for an audience of 6,000 , accompanied by Jazztet.

- Writes scores for twenty short films, elaborates and narrates innumerous texts for same in Mexico prior to the ’68 Olympic Games.
- "Pobre Menina Rica" is translated into Spanish by writers Gabriel Garcia Marques and Francisco Cervantes, and produced in Mexico City. The cast includes Carlos Lyra (in the role of the Beggar Poet), Leny Andrade, Marly Tavares, and the Bossa Três Trio (Luis Carlos Vinhas, Rony Mesquita and Otávio Bailey).

- The musical “Pobre Menina Rica” (Poor Little Rich Girl Blue) is produced for Mexican television, with Kate Lyra in the title role.

- The soap opera, “O Cafona” (Globo Network) uses two of his songs in the score: "Tudo o que eu Sou eu Dei" (written with Ruy Guerra and performed by Sergio Ricardo) and "Gente do Morro" (written with Vinícius de Moraes and performed by Carlos Lyra).

- Release of the Rádio Jornal do Brasil (Continental) promo album with his live broadcast interview and the song "Ciúme".
1973
- Participation as an actor in the film "O Signo de Escorpião" by carlos Coimbra.
1974
- Spends two years in Los Angeles doing Primal Therapy under the supervision of Dr. Arthur Janov.
- Studies and later teaches at the Sidereal School of Astrology in Los Angeles.
1977
- Records his “Cara Bonita”for the Nara Leão album, "Meus Amigos São um Barato" (Philips).
1978
- His show E no entanto é preciso cantar opens at the Teatro da Lagoa., Rio.
- Appears on the album commemorating 20 Years of Bossa Nova (WEA), with his songs “Se é tarde me perdoa”, “Minha namorada”, “Primavera” and “Marcha da quarta-feira de cinzas”.
